Real wedding #4: Rule number one - have fun!

When we saw this wedding the first thing that came to mind was "What fun!" A sense of celebration and the couple's personality shines through everywhere from their fun photographs to the expression on their faces. It's so easy to get caught up in the stresses of your big day with all the planning and the emotions surrounding the momentous step you are about to take. So just stop and remind yourself that, in the end, it's all about love, friends and family and fun!

The bride's vinatge scooter (I love that it was actually hers!) and a Chapel of Love booth at a local fringe theater festival provided colorful backdrops for the couple portraits.

Guest were asked to write well wishes for the couple before the ceremony and the flower girls and ring bearers carried them down the aisle. This would also be a great idea at a reception: Instead of a guest book you could collect the well wishes in a beautifl box or enevelope matching your stationery suite.

The bridesmaids each wore a different style dress in the same shade. This allows for all sorts of different personalities and body types. And we think it looks great in photos.

Personal details kept to the theme of the wedding. The bride and groom attached the seating arrangements to an old rustic shutter and a clothesline hung between two ladders displayed old family photos.

This photograph just says it all! (And doesn't he kind of look like a young Mick Jagger here?)

The dessert included a build-your-own sundae bar with delicious fresh fruit. See our DIY post on how to create your own ice-cream palour here.
